This position supervises and participates in:
- Planting, cultivating, and harvesting vegetables, fruits, and forage.
- Applying dusting, fertilizers, and insecticides.
- Managing activities related to the feeding, breeding, and care of livestock and poultry.
- Maintaining pasture grounds, aquaculture facilities, and fruit and vegetable crops (hydroponic and conventional farming).
- Performing a variety of semi‑skilled farming tasks and supervising a group of inmates, patients, wards, or paid farm employees on a continuous basis, while also performing other related duties as assigned.
Legal Authorization to Work

Experience
Three (3) years of general farm work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement
- Has engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility, or other institution.
- Has been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in a community‑facilitated setting with force, threat, or coercion, or where the victim did not consent.
- Has been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activities described above.
- Has been the subject of substantiated allegations of sexual abuse or sexual harassment, or resigned during a pending investigation of alleged sexual abuse or harassment.
