Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Medical/Surgical Telemetry Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry environment. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience and be comfortable working on telemetry‑monitored units while providing exceptional patient care and support.

Schedule
  • Contract assignment
  • Various shifts available
  • Combination of 8‑hour and 12‑hour shifts
  • Day and night shifts may be required
Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
  • Obtain and document vital signs
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety
  • Provide one‑on‑one observation as a patient sitter when needed
  • Assist nurses with routine patient care tasks
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system
  • Follow infection control and patient safety protocols

  • Medical/Surgical Telemetry units
  • Telemetry‑monitored patient population

Qualifications
  • Active CNA certification/license as required by state regulations
  • Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience preferred
  • Acute care hospital experience preferred
  • Experience working on telemetry units preferred
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification required
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced acute care environment
  • Excellent observation and reporting abilities
  • Team‑oriented with a patient‑centered approach
  • Ability to adapt to changing patient care needs
Technology
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is preferred
