RN - Emergency Department

Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ER) | Contract Assignment Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13‑week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience and the ability to provide high‑quality care to patients of all ages in a fast‑paced acute care environment.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.

• Deliver rapid, evidence‑based interventions for critically ill and injured patients.

• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures in accordance with established protocols.

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.

• Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.

• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and infection control standards.

• Emergency Department consisting of:

  • 15 main treatment beds

  • 6‑bed Fast Track area

• Serves patients of all ages and populations.

• Must be available to work all shifts, including:

  • Days

  • Evenings

  • Nights

• Holiday coverage required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.

• Current active Hawaii RN license required.

• Strong critical thinking, assessment, triage, and emergency response skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
