Travel RN - Psychiatric

Overview

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health position on a night shift adult psychiatric unit in Kona, Hawaii, with dual diagnosis and forensic patient experience required.

• Work in an 11-bed adult behavioral health inpatient unit
• Patient population includes adult psychiatric, dual diagnosis, chemically dependent, and forensic patients
• Night shift only
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include patient admissions, daily assessments, and discharges
• Must be comfortable working with forensic patients in a behavioral health setting
• CPI or equivalent certification must be in hand prior to start date

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent assaultive patient management certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience working with forensic patients required
• Dual diagnosis and chemical dependency competency required
