Overview
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health position on a night shift adult psychiatric unit in Kona, Hawaii, with dual diagnosis and forensic patient experience required.
Responsibilities- Work in an 11-bed adult behavioral health inpatient unit
- Patient population includes adult psychiatric, dual diagnosis, chemically dependent, and forensic patients
- Night shift only
- 13-week contract
- Responsibilities include patient admissions, daily assessments, and discharges
- Must be comfortable working with forensic patients in a behavioral health setting
- CPI or equivalent certification must be in hand prior to start date
- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent assaultive patient management certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience working with forensic patients required
- Dual diagnosis and chemical dependency competency required
