Summary
You will serve as an ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR I in the ELECTRICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY.
OverviewAccepting applications from 10/14/2025 through 10/13/2026. The position is full‑time, located at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Oahu, HI, and falls under pay scale WS 10.

- Hiring freeze:
Subject to a government‑wide hiring freeze; no selection until the freeze is lifted.
- Coordinate availability of special tools, materials, equipment, and trade assistance with shop planners; plan sequences of tasks, layouts, and worker assignments.
- Resolve working problems, overcome bottlenecks, address equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and other delays by seeking necessary authority or assistance.
- Preview job sites, plan sequences, assign tasks, and manage tool and material distribution.
- Plan, schedule, direct, coordinate with assist trades, conduct inspections, and certify work.
- Assign tasks, tools, equipment, and materials to workers; layout work for the group and interpret plans and instructions.
- Instruct workers on proper methods, equipment care, and safe work practices.
- U.S. citizen.
- Suitable for federal employment.
- Participates in direct deposit pay program.
- Successful E‑Verify check.
- Eligible for retired military appointment within 180 days of retirement.
- Male: registered with Selective Service (if born after 12/31/1959).
- May be required to complete a pre‑appointment physical exam.
- Must obtain/interim security clearance before duty.
- Pre‑employment drug test required (marijuana and others).
- Wear PPE: helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators, safety shoes.
- Medical surveillance for chemical, radiation, and other hazards.
- Travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.
- Review ethics principles (14 CFR ).
- High noise exposure possible.
- Night, weekend, holiday work may be required; overtime or differential pay may apply.
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies needed for the position. The screen‑out element is ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE.
- Ability to lead or supervise.
- Ability to use and maintain hand tools (electrical work).
- Knowledge of electrical equipment.
- Theory and instruments used in shop and trade practices.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues.
