SALARY RATE: $60,516.00 (Annual Salary) based on the FTE
JOB DUTIES : The function of the Facilities and Maintenance Department is to provide continued and safe operation of all utility services. Maintains safe operation of the physical plant and all utilities, equipment, building fixed and portable. Perpetually inspects buildings, equipment, and grounds to determine maintenance and repairs needed; and maintains perpetual job schedules that provide preventive maintenance for all fixed structures and equipment..
The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties which are essentially routine and repetitive, as well as manual and semi-skilled, in several of the trades as a regular and continuing work assignment, and assists trade skill workers in their assignments. Incumbents of this position may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may also be scheduled for standby duty.
THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week.
EDUCATION: None Required. Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Two years of work experience in performing a variety of building maintenance repair work or its equivalent combination of experience and training.
KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic practices and methods in the repair of buildings, including safety procedures; common tools, equipment and materials used in the carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical trades.
ABILITY TO: Use the common tools utilized in a variety of building trades; do minor mechanical repairs; read and interpret sketches and simple plans; understand and follow oral and written instructions; perform heavy lifting, moving, digging or other manual work typical of the class.

EXPERIENCE:
