We operate a dozen active test and/or training ranges for the Army, Air Force and Navy, with a 35-year heritage focused on supporting complex DoD programs and delivering high-quality services and customer satisfaction.
SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI, providing maintenance and transportation support for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii’s units and affiliated civilian agencies.
Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) for our Fleet Management Operations based at the Pohakuloa Training Area in Hawai to perform a wide range of driving duties supporting Transportation operations tied to Military Logistic Support services throughout PTA on Hawai and on Oahu. This position is within the Transportation Division and reports to the Operations Supervisor and Transportation Division Manager.
The MVO operates gasoline and diesel-powered box trucks, refrigerator trucks, tractors, buses, fuel trucks, and material handling equipment (MHE) to transport cargo, equipment, and people. The MVO may use flat-bed and various lowboy trailers with turntable or pivotal hook to transport articles and loads, ensuring loads are secured. The MVO may also operate buses with a capacity of 12+ passengers for transporting military and civilian passengers.
The normal work week begins at 12:01 a.m. Monday and ends at 12:00 midnight Sunday, with scheduling flexibility between those hours.
Essential job duties include:
- Operating a variety of equipment including tactical vehicles as scheduled/assigned
- Operating MHE with capacities from 2,000 - 60,000 lbs to load/unload, transfer, stack or unstack cargo and materials, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Hauling water tank trailers with a capacity of 5,000 gallons
- Being knowledgeable of Federal & State transportation regulations and pre/post-trip inspection requirements
- Performing equipment, warehouse and container yard maintenance as required
- Following verbal/written instructions from management and mission schedule
- Completing necessary paperwork accurately and timely
- Enforcing safety rules and regulations while performing job functions
- Utilizing personal cellular phone for communication with management
- Maintaining all required endorsements, certifications, and clearances
- Reading/understanding/following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Reading/understanding the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and its requirements
Additional duties may include:
- Cross-utilization in other duties such as safety, security and environmental
- Travel to Oahu during surge/contingency operations
- Housekeeping of office areas, warehouse, and yard
- Evaluation of other CDL-A personnel as required
- Overtime work as required
- Other duties as deemed necessary

Pohakuloa Training Area, HI; may require travel to Oahu for surge operations - Work is outdoors with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Moderate to heavy physical effort; driving, sitting, leaning, walking, reaching, climbing, and lifting 1-75 lbs
- The work week schedule as noted above; overtime may be required occasionally
Requirements
Education/Experience/Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Employment is contingent on endorsements/certifications listed below
- Current CDL-A license
