Customer Service Rep, Bilingual
The Heavy Cleaner will be responsible for the cleanliness of all public and non-public areas of the casino in accordance with Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies, procedures, and Internal Control Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintain the cleanliness of the casino using cleaning machines such as buffers, furnishers, carpet cleaning machines, escalator cleaning machines, and other miscellaneous equipment.
- Carry out individual assignments as well as work with a group.
- Have basic knowledge of and work with various cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a current understanding of all information security policies, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months of employment.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
- All duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations are subject to change as needed; hours are determined by a 24‑hour schedule.
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Familiar with proper use of all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Knowledge in the operation of cleaning machines such as buffers, burnishers, carpet cleaning machines, escalator cleaning machines, and other minor equipment.
- Previous housekeeping experience considered a plus.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems or conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
The physical demands include standing, walking, moving through all casino areas, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and heavy lifting. The environment is moderately loud, increasing to loud on the casino floor, and smoking is permitted. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
PAYMENTSalary starting rate: $16.16 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education. Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
