Physician - General Surgeon

We are seeking a General Surgeon for a 56-day locum tenens assignment in Nebraska beginning Mar 16, 2026. This opportunity features a 7 on/7 off schedule, with a mix of outpatient clinic during the week, operating room days, and 24-hour weekend call. Candidates should be experienced with cases including gallbladder, hernia, bowel obstruction, and appendix procedures.

• Provide general surgery services in an outpatient clinic setting during the week
• Perform surgical procedures including gallbladder, hernia, bowel obstruction, and appendix cases
• Participate in operating room days as scheduled
• Take 24-hour weekend call as part of a 7 on/7 off rotation

• Iowa medical license required
• Board certification in General Surgery required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
