Student Success Coordinator, Loper Success Hub

The Student Success Coordinator works to set students on successful pathways and help them find a supportive community at the University of Nebraska Kearney. The Coordinator provides guidance, support, and connections to campus resources, primarily to first‑year at‑promise students. The position also supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of an academic skills/strategies curriculum for UNK's first‑year seminar course, develops and delivers training for first‑year seminar instructors, collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and the Director of the General Education program, manages student employees and coordinates holistic, strengths‑oriented support for other students focusing on study skills/strategies and transition to UNK, and collaborates with department colleagues to provide presentations and workshops.

Bachelor's degree
One year experience working in a higher education environment

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Effective time management, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and pressures of college students and a strong interest in engaging to support student success and satisfaction

• Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Psychology, Education, or related field
• Two years of teaching experience
• Experience supervising college student employees
• Experience with course management software, like Canvas
• Experience developing and delivering training material
• Experience supporting first‑year college students
