Position Summary

Senior AV Technology Engineer responsible for planning, design, administration, and maintenance of audio/visual equipped spaces. Project lead on AV installations, system programming/configuration, management of computers and end‑user devices, and advanced system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities and Key Skills
  • Knowledgeable of industry video standards, firewall and security technologies, video conferencing equipment, electronics, video, audio and communications standards.
  • Desktop and Video Conference Systems.
  • Critical thinking and independent decision making.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, telephone and organization skills; ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Experience with multimedia equipment including workstations (PC/Windows), projectors, Smart Boards, video/audio conferencing equipment, and software such as Microsoft Office suite and Internet Explorer.
  • Proficient speaking and written skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the service and installation of audio, video, and presentation systems; advanced working knowledge of technical production for classroom and live events.
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification (or equivalent; seven years related education/experience considered).
  • Advanced working knowledge of computers and end‑user device management in academic environments.
  • Microsoft Outlook proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Level 1 manufacturer training for Crestron, QSC, and Biamp.
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word proficiency.
  • Experience writing code for Crestron Control Systems.

Salary: $63,600 - $95,400 annually.
