Electrical Estimator

IES Electrical is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator for work in Nebraska. Office locations include Kearney, Grand Island, Norfolk, and Holdrege.

• Estimating commercial and industrial projects (plan/spec, design-build, and design-assist).
• Applying best practices and established estimating procedures.
• Coordinating project scopes with local and national codes.
• Working closely with material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Managing requests for information (RFIs) throughout the bidding process.
• Reviewing and qualifying quotes for specialized materials and subcontractor work.
• Preparing proposal letters, bid forms and turnover packages on awarded projects.
• Interacting with customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Recent experience or education in electrical field work, estimating, or engineering.
• Working knowledge of blueprints, specifications, applicable codes, and regulations.
• Ability to work in one of our Nebraska offices.
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently with estimating software.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must successfully pass a post‑offer background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check.
