Job Description:
Registered Nurses in the Med Surg unit provide patient care, manage medication administration, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care for patients undergoing total joint replacements and spine surgeries.
Administer pain medications, antibiotics, and blood products.
Collaborate with the healthcare team, including tele techs, to interpret telemonitor readings.
Floating to Med Surg, rehab, or PCU as required based on unit needs.
Requirements:
Current BLS certification.
Driver's license required at submission to verify radius eligibility.
Pass a 90% on the open book exam during orientation.
Adherence to the fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails for patient care staff.
