Job Description:

Registered Nurses in the Med Surg unit provide patient care, manage medication administration, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing total joint replacements and spine surgeries.
• Administer pain medications, antibiotics, and blood products.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including tele techs, to interpret telemonitor readings.
• Floating to Med Surg, rehab, or PCU as required based on unit needs.

Requirements:

• Current BLS certification.
• Driver's license required at submission to verify radius eligibility.
• Pass a 90% on the open book exam during orientation.
• Adherence to the fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails for patient care staff.
