Position Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support patients by managing the full front‑end service process. This role involves answering inbound calls, making outbound calls, processing orders, verifying insurance, reviewing documentation, and ensuring patients receive the equipment prescribed by their providers. The ideal candidate is organized, patient‑focused, comfortable with high call volumes, and able to deliver excellent service in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities Patient Support & Communication

+ Answer inbound calls and emails promptly while meeting performance goals

+ Make outbound calls as needed to follow up, confirm details, or gather missing documentation

+ Educate patients on their financial responsibility when applicable

+ Provide accurate information about products, services, and general support inquiries

+ Route calls appropriately and follow up to ensure resolution

Order Processing & Documentation

+ Review referral documentation for accuracy and completeness

+ Create and process patient orders

+ Verify and submit required forms and supporting documentation

+ Maintain detailed, accurate records in accordance with SOPs

+ Schedule patients to receive equipment as ordered by their provider

Insurance Verification

+ Complete insurance eligibility checks

+ Determine coverage, co‑insurance, and deductibles

+ Obtain pre‑authorization when required

+ Submit physician orders to insurance carriers for review and approval

Product & Company Knowledge

+ Stay current on all products and services offered

+ Maintain a working understanding of equipment types, ordering requirements, and patient needs

Required Skills & Experience

+ Customer service or call center experience

+ Experience in healthcare, medical office work, or patient interaction

+ Understanding of insurance processes preferred

+ Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

+ Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment

+ Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Hands‑on patient care experience

+ Familiarity with CPAP equipment or respiratory products

+ Prior experience with medical documentation and insurance verification

Experience Level

Entry Level - training provided, healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kearney, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
