EssentialKey Job Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiology or peripheral vascular exams.
- Perform high‑quality diagnostic cardiac and/or vascular imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of results and report to physicians as directed.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training.
- Minimum of one registry in either American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS):
Adult Cardiac Sonography (RDCS-AE) or Vascular Technology (RVT);
Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI):
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS). Graduates of an accredited sonography program meeting criteria for the registry exam are eligible. RDCS, RVT, RCS, or RVS credential must be obtained within 12 months of hire. - AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.

It offers advanced level trauma care, Air Care emergency helicopter transport, ambulance program providing long‑distance and local 911 service, cardiac care including open‑heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient/outpatient mental health services at the free‑standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
