Position Summary

Coordinates work flow within the distribution center, conducts cycle counts, and assists with various department clerical functions. Picks orders and operates powered equipment as necessary

Responsibilities
  • Performs various duties in the distribution center, including picking orders and clerical support as assigned.
  • Assists with coordination of daily activities of the distribution center, locating products to be moved, reporting work progress, and identifying problems as they arise.
  • Initiates improvements in the department through individual efforts and the ideas and input of others. Provides input to department supervisors and assists in implementing improvements.
  • Operates equipment as assigned, which may include tractor-trailers, trailer jacks, lift trucks, order pickers, SA’s, power carts, pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, hand-held RF terminals, and radios.
  • Conducts cycle counts.
  • Leads others in identifying and implementing ideas to improve department operations.
  • Assumes lead responsibilities on a temporary basis as required.
  • Assists with training new department employees as required.
  • Completes departmental paperwork, including time and inventory reports, manifests, etc.
  • Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
  • Responsible for observing safety rules at all times and reporting unsafe conditions to department supervision.
  • Responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
  • Responsible for meeting established unit production standards.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    High school diploma/GED with at least one year of experience in a distribution center. Any deviations from the above requirements (e.g. substituting more work experience for required education) will be evaluated and approved by the Operations Manager.
  • Preferred:
    High school diploma/GED with demonstrated competence in three or more distribution areas, and at least three years experience in a distribution center.

Competitive Compensation:
Hourly pay range for this role is $21.74-$25.57.
