POSITION SUMMARY
:
The Clinic Department Manager supports the primary functions within the clinic area of the practice. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate staff to ensure optimal efficiency and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

LOCATION:
Lind Eyecare, Kearney, Nebraska
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate and uphold the mission statement, values, and core programs of the company
- Develop and guide staff to ensure consistency in performance and improve clinic efficiencies
- Develop and monitor the coordination of patient scheduling and patient flow throughout the office
- Maintain inventory of all medications and supplies
- Assist Practice Manager in evaluating staff performance and clinical assessments in order to provide additional training as necessary
- Develop staff in their essential responsibilities, as necessary
- Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff
- Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager and doctor(s)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
:
- High school graduate, or equivalent
- Previous experience in fields of ophthalmology or optometry is preferred
- Previous experience in leadership/management is preferred

- Ability to build and maintain good rapport with the doctors, staff and patients, and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
- Proactive, adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to accomplish projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines):
- Standing for sustained periods of time.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
- Physical requirements:
Light work. - The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform each activity.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
:
- Staff members are required to meet training expectations within the initial 90-day probationary period.
- Obtaining certification in optometric field is encouraged. The company will aid all employees eligible for the Employee Career Development Program.
