The Facility Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall direction of the Maintenance Department. This position oversees all maintenance of Kearney Buckle Facilities and material handling systems including, the Distribution Center, Ecommerce Center and Corporate Offices as well as coordinating maintenance efforts to ensure upkeep of property as well as buildings. This position negotiates third party vendor contracts and will oversee all repair and/or installation activities.
The Maintenance Manager will ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and complete reporting and budgeting.

Leadershipand Administrative Management
- Manage and provide coaching to a team of skilled Maintenance Technicians.
- Maintain professional communication and work closely with internal management teams and external business contacts regarding maintenance for all Kearney facilities.
- Monitor department expenses and control the department budget.
- Negotiate third-party vendor contracts, ensure agreed-upon terms are followed, and oversee contracted labor.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Develop maintenance schedules for preventive maintenance and safety checks on all equipment, and plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Coordinate battery replacement for equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, portable PC carts, fire alarms, and emergency/exit lighting.
- Manage all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). for company vehicles, as well as equipment inspection and repair documentation.
- Oversee building management systems, elevators, and scales.
- Plan the installation of new electrical, plumbing, and data cable services.
- Conduct department safety training and maintain records of completed training.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Provide training to teammates on powered material handling and man-lift equipment.
- Ensure required quality assurance measures for the Distribution Center are performed.
- Maintain compliance records and documentation related to equipment inspections, repairs, and DOT requirements.
- Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.

Directly supervises a team of skilled Maintenance Technicians. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Teammates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Teammates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree from four-year College or University; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
