Position Summary
Responsible for handling and transporting a variety of materials, parts, products, or other items in support of the production and warehousing functions throughout the plant.
Responsibilities- Performs handling and transporting duties as outlined in the Process Instruction for the assigned work area.
- Changes propane tanks, charges and changes batteries on forklifts as required.
- Removes scrap materials from the department as required.
- Performs cycle counting as required.
- Completes paperwork as required, including material transfers, receiving, scrap, and time reports, daily forklift inspection forms and others.
- Performs inventory transactions using computer terminals or RF devices.
- Operates forklift, hand pallet truck, barrel lift, floor sweeper, floor scrubber, and yard truck as required.
- Completes the forklift's daily inspection form.
- Uses communication and mathematical skills in the performance of duties.
- Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
- Observes safety rules at all times and immediately reports unsafe conditions to department supervision.
- Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.
- High school diploma or GED (Required).
- Three months' work experience in a manufacturing setting (Preferred).
- This position requires the individual to handle and transport parts and materials weighing up to approximately fifty pounds.
- Position may require employee to possess a CDL license.
- Requires climbing ladders and carrying cases of products and materials.
- Hourly pay range for this role is $20.77–$24.42
