Position Overview

Associated Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated individuals for a Setup Operator opportunity in Kearney, NE. This temp-to-hire position offers competitive pay, outstanding benefits upon hire and long-term career growth with a respected employer.

As a Setup Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and adjusting tooling, equipment and production lines while ensuring quality, safety and production standards are met. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform setups on machines, equipment and production lines

• Handle minor equipment repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision

• Review specifications and work orders to ensure proper setup

• Approve inspection reports as required

• Perform basic fabrication duties as needed

• Monitor department equipment for safety concerns and report unsafe conditions

• Complete required paperwork including inspection, downtime, scrap and production reports

• Assist with supervision responsibilities when needed

• Train employees new to the area or position

• Maintain clean, organized and obstruction-free work areas

• Follow all company quality, safety and policy procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
