Position: Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,602 per week

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM

• Every other weekend schedule required

• Up to 2 extra mandatory overtime shifts per 6-week period

• Must be willing to float to PCU and Med Surg as needed (travelers are first to float)

• Typically scheduled for 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) per month, potentially more based on unit needs

• Required to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, including cardiac experience

• Must have experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, and Day 2/Day 3 post-op CABGs

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS

• PALS required for all staff; pediatric experience highly preferred

• Nebraska or compact nursing license required (active and in good standing)

• EPIC experience required

• BSN not required

• Scrub colors:
Navy blue, black, or charcoal grey

• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 (lower acuity patients)

• 10-bed unit with average daily census of 5+ patients

• Common diagnoses include open hearts, CHF, COPD, overdoses, sepsis, CVAs with TPA, DKA, and some neuro cases

• Care for adults and patients under 8 years of age

• Must be punctual and clock out for lunch; termination likely after 3 call-outs

• Schedules based on unit needs with no self-scheduling or blocked scheduling available

Facility:

This regional medical center operates a 10-bed intensive care unit that provides comprehensive critical care services including cardiac procedures, stroke care through a Tele Stroke program, and various acute medical conditions. The facility maintains Level 3 trauma designation and utilizes EPIC charting system. The ICU team is known for excellent teamwork and collaboration, creating a supportive work environment for nursing staff.
