About the Role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position involves comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for residents. The RN will serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that individuals receive compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential to coordinate treatment plans and promote optimal health outcomes.

Ultimately, the RN contributes to enhancing patient safety, education, and recovery while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in direct patient care

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, etc.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote self-management and wellness
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and needs by communicating effectively with healthcare providers and ensuring ethical standards are upheld.
  • Document all nursing interventions, patient responses, and clinical observations accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust individualized care plans
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.

Skills:

The required skills such as direct patient care are essential for assessing and responding to patient health status in real time. Patient education and advocacy skills enable the nurse to empower patients and families, improving adherence to treatment plans and overall satisfaction. Expertise in wound care and medical/surgical nursing ensures effective management of complex clinical conditions and promotes healing. Collaboration with nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals requires strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate comprehensive care.
