Position: Travel Stepdown Nurse (RN) in Kearney, NE

Exposure to fresh workplace approaches and hands-on experiences treating a variety of complex diagnoses will set your resume apart while you explore new frontiers.

Schedule/Hours:
  • 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm-6:30am)
  • 36 hours a week guaranteed
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday commitment of two per contract (if applicable)
  • Floating to Med/Surg or ICU (for patients with appropriate acuity levels)
Key Qualifications:
  • Active RN license
  • At least 2 years of PCU or stepdown nursing experience
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
  • Proficiency with arterial line management, titration of various drips (heparin, nitro, dopamine, etc.), and interpretation of telemetry/monitor strips
  • Strong adaptability, flexibility, and communication skills
  • Commitment to learning, teamwork, and feedback
  • Driver's license for compliance radius verification (must reside >50 miles from facility)
  • Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver skilled care for adult patients with cardiac, renal, respiratory, oncology, and vascular diagnoses
  • Respond to rapid changes in patient condition, titrate infusions, and operate select RT equipment
  • Collaborate closely with charge nurses, patient care techs, and cross-functional teams
  • Maintain accuracy with documentation, patient safety protocols, and positive patient experiences
  • Provide effective communication regarding medication and treatment plans
