Sanford Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for long‑term care in a rural community. Day shift, 12‑hour days, rotating weekends, with 24 scheduled weekly hours. Compensation starts at $24.00–$36.00 per hour and includes an optional $5,000 sign‑on bonus. Union:

- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, especially age‑ and population‑specific standards for physical and psychosocial needs.
- Perform testing to evaluate resident data and provide appropriate care.
- Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations.
- Ensure resident health, comfort, and safety, contributing to assessment and administration of medications or treatments as ordered.
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals when needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health‑care providers, and the public.
- Work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary care team and communicate clearly while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Counsel residents, family members, or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Apply resident education principles to develop a self‑care program and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
- If IV therapy/management skills are required, graduation from a Board‑approved AASPN program with IV therapy in the curriculum or completion of a North Dakota Board‑approved IV therapy course.
- Minimum 400 hours of LPN experience at another facility or completion of a pre‑licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the lifespan.
- Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with a State Nursing board and/or multi‑state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
