• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing practice and adhere to age- and population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting.
• Care for residents in preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and provide resident education and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope and competence guidelines; provide supervision to ensure safe and reliable care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA) preferred. Bachelor s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure acceptable if in an NLC state.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
