Description:
This position is for an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse.
The unit consists of 33 beds with an average daily census of 16 patients.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 for adults.
Common patient diagnoses include trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
Nurse aides are available based on census and can assist on the floor as needed.
The schedule includes self-scheduling for core staff, with restrictions on block scheduling.
RN's may float to other units such as PCU or Med-Surg, maintaining similar patient ratios.
Holiday and weekend shifts are required.
Registered Nurses must hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
