** Certified Nursing Assistant
** Provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.
** Essential Duties:
*** Responsible for completing the daily shift report and communicating directly to the next shift any urgent needs.
* Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Demonstrates ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift.
* Assists with resident care to include housekeeping, laundry, social needs, and demonstrates proper lifting techniques.
* Assists with serving meals and essential clean-up.
* Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
* Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the DON/Charge Nurse/HWD as soon as practical.
* Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
* Will keep certification current and participate in continuing education to include staff meetings, in services and web-based training.

** Education/

Experience:

*** Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
* Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant from the state.
* Must be a licensed Certified Nurse Assistant having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with the laws of this State.
* Prefer prior experience in AL or SNU. Prefer prior experience as a certified nurse aide for at least 1 year.
** Specific Requirements:
*** Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
* Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
* Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.
