Drop Zone is coming to Kearney, NE, and we are looking for an energetic, guest-focused Bartender to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys creating a great guest experience through friendly, professional bar service.
Position Overview ABOUT THE BARTENDER ROLEAs a Bartender at Drop Zone, you will deliver a guest-focused bar experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is ideal for energetic individuals who enjoy interacting with guests, handling drink service efficiently, and contributing to a positive, engaging atmosphere throughout the venue.
Core Responsibilities BEVERAGE PREP. & SERVICEPrepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering friendly, fast, and professional service to guests.
ORDER MANAGEMENTTake drink orders, deliver beverages accurately, and monitor guest needs throughout their experience to ensure attentive, high-quality service.
BAR ORGANIZATIONMaintain a clean, stocked, and organised bar area, including restocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and keeping work areas orderly.
RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL SERVICEServe alcohol responsibly and in compliance with Nebraska liquor laws and Drop Zone policies at all times.
PREP & DAILY SETUPPrep garnishes, garnish drinks, and help set up bar service areas to support smooth daily operations.
PAYMENTS & COLLABORATIONHandle cash, tabs, and payments accurately using the POS system while collaborating with team members to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Candidate RequirementsWhat We're Looking For:
BARTENDING EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a bartender in a similar environment is required. Candidates should be confident handling high-volume service while maintaining quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
BEVERAGE KNOWLEDGEStrong knowledge of drink recipes, spirits, beer, wine, and basic mixology techniques is essential to deliver a consistent and enjoyable guest experience.
CERTIFICATIONS & LEGAL REQUIREMENTSCandidates must be at least 19 years old to serve alcohol in Nebraska. Responsible beverage service certification is required or must be obtained, with TIPS certification accepted.
TECHNICAL & CASH HANDLING SKILLSAbility to accurately handle cash, tabs, and payments using a point-of-sale (POS) system is required.
WORK STYLE & AVAILABILITYThis is a part-time, in‑person role. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment are essential.
Skillset Needed MIXOLOGY SKILLSConfidently prepares a wide range of alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages with accuracy and consistency.
GUEST SERVICE FOCUSDelivers friendly, professional service while creating a welcoming bar experience for every guest.
POS & CASH HANDLINGAccurately manages tabs, cash, and payments using the point‑of‑sale system.
