Position: (USA) Overnight Stocking Coach, Non-Complex

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training and actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicates business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives such as community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints and issues are successfully resolved, developing action plans to correct deficiencies, and providing process improvement leadership to ensure a high‑quality customer experience.

Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating profit & loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training and mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing recognition, and communicating consistently.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting mission values and ethical standards through the Open Door policy and guidance on business processes. Promotes a culture of belonging, embraces diversity, builds high‑performing teams, attracts and retains talent, encourages continuous learning, and serves customers and members with integrity and excellence.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state‑specific requirements, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates must attend and successfully complete all required job trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (Live Better U, Bellevue University).
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (Live Better U, Bellevue University).
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
Salary and Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure.
