Under general supervision, provide customer service and ground support to arriving and departing aircraft at the Kearney Regional Airport. Assist with airport grounds maintenance and snow removal. Work varies with some leeway for discretion and independent action. Provide a variety of aircraft services including marshaling, fueling, hangar storage, towing, wing walking and other ground support. Handle aviation fuels, maintaining quality control through various procedures and maintaining applicable records.
Coordinate and direct ramp movements for arriving and departing aircraft.

- Apply and maintain knowledge of the current methods, equipment, materials and tools to perform quality assurance on aviation fuels from acceptance of fuel delivery to dispensing fuel into aircraft (Daily)

- Work Type: Moderate, exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Climbing/Balancing: Ability to climb aboard aircraft, balance required.
- Walking: Moderate amount required.
- Stooping/Bending: Frequently.
- Stand/Sit: Stand about 60 percent of the time.
- Reaching: Frequent, overhead as well as horizontal.
- Vision: Adequate to perform essential job functions.
- Color Vision: Adequate to perform essential job functions.

- Speech: Frequently express ideas by means of spoken words.

- Ability to understand mathematical concepts to include basic arithmetic.
High school diploma/GED. Must be able to obtain employer provided aviation fuel handling training within first week of employment and employer provided 14 CFR Part 139 Fire Training Certificate within first month. Basic aviation knowledge with prior customer service experience preferred. Possession of a valid Nebraska driver’s license.
Residency RequirementsThirty (30) minute response time by way of the most direct route from the employee’s assigned work site and within posted speed limits.
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids UsedRefueling trucks, tugs, GPU, lavatory cart, aviation oxygen system, trucks, tractors, fuel quality assurance kits, air compressors, and other hand and power tools.
