The Flight School Coordinator is responsible for the daily management, operational oversight, and administrative leadership of the collegiate flight training program, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused flight operations. This role oversees aircraft utilization, scheduling, regulatory compliance (including FAA and TSA), personnel management, student engagement, and coordination across academic and operational units.

This individual supports institutional goals for excellence in aviation education, safety, service quality, and regulatory adherence, contributing to a positive learning environment for students and instructors.

Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, Business Management, or related field (or evidence of completion by May 2026).

  • Minimum 1 year experience managing and leading people in an aviation or related operational environment.
  • Documented experience with collegiate aviation flight school operations.
  • Documented experience working within a Part 141 Pilot School environment.
  • Experience with FAA Part 141 compliance structures, audits, and training oversight.
  • Prior experience as a flight operations coordinator, lead instructor, assistant chief flight instructor, or similar supervisory role.
  • Experience with dispatch, scheduling software, flight operations tracking systems, and aircraft utilization analytics.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAA) relevant to flight training and flight operations.
  • Working knowledge of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations and security requirements for flight schools.
  • Proven ability to manage aircraft utilization, scheduling, and operational resources.
  • Minimum of FAA Private Pilot Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and safety reporting tools.
