UNICARGO INC is looking for a sharp and driven Controller to join our team in Kearny, NJ. This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of the company's financial operations and help steer strategic growth. • Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal financial policies
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, specifically QBO
• Experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain industry is a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
