Elementary Title I Family Engagement Program Coordinator

REPORTS TO:

District Supervisor of Federal Programs.

DESCRIPTION:

Develop/implement activities to involve parents of students participating in Title I services in information sessions resulting in home-school partnerships. Teachers will be responsible for leading workshops related to building foundational English Language Arts and Math skills. Additional duties will include meetings of the Title I Parent Advisory Committee.

DUTIES:

* Organizing and planning for parent workshops throughout the year;

* Submitting orders for necessary supplies;

* Planning meetings with facilitators;

* Coordinating distribution of flyers;

* Attending and overseeing family evenings;

* Contacting potential Parent Advisory Committee members;

* Record keeping of Parent Advisory Committee meetings;

* Collecting time sheets and activity logs from facilitators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Applicants must be certified teachers with experience working with struggling students.

REMUNERATION:

Salary will be in accordance with the current KEA Salary Guide. This program is funded by Title IA funds.

Duties must be performed outside of regular school duties/hours.
