LMS Title I Family Engagement Program Coordinator

REPORTS TO:

District Supervisor of Federal Programs

DESCRIPTION:

Develop/implement activities to involve parents of students participating in Title I services in information sessions resulting in home-school partnerships. Teachers will be responsible for leading workshops

to engage middle school students and their families in the areas of academics and enrichment. Additional duties will include meetings of the Title I Parent Advisory Committee.

DUTIES:

* Organizing and planning for parent workshops throughout the year

* Submitting orders for necessary supplies

* Planning Meetings with facilitators

* Coordinating distribution of flyers

* Attending and overseeing family evenings

* Contacting potential Parent Advisory Committee meetings

* Record keeping of Parent Advisory Committee meetings

* Collecting time sheets and activity logs from facilitators

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be certified teachers with experience working with struggling students.

REMUNERATION:

Salary will be in accordance with the current KEA Salary Guide. The program is funded by Title IA.

Duties must be performed outside of regular duties/hours.
