Title III ESL Family Engagement Program Coordinator

REPORTS TO:

District Supervisor of Federal Programs

DESCRIPTION:

Develop/implement activities to involve parents in information sessions resulting in home-school partnerships. Facilitators will lead workshops on literacy-based activities, math skill building, and web-based resources tailored to the needs of ESL students. This will also include meetings of the ESL Parent Advisory Committee.

DUTIES:

* Organizing and planning for parent workshops throughout the year

* Submitting orders for necessary supplies

* Planning Meetings with facilitators

* Coordinating distribution of flyers

* Attending and overseeing family evenings

* Contacting potential Parent Advisory Committee meetings

* Record keeping of Parent Advisory Committee meetings

* Collecting time sheets and activity logs from facilitators

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be certified teachers with experience working with English language learners and/or strong literacy background.

Fluency in another language (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is preferred.

REMUNERATION:

Salary will be in accordance with the current KEA Salary Guide. The program is funded by Title III.

Duties must be performed outside of regular duties/hours.
