DESCRIPTION:The Kearny School District Lunch Lab Program will focus on providing students with academic assistance in ELA and Math during the student's designated lunch period.
The program will be voluntary for students. Students will be encouraged to go to the lunch lab whenever they need help with a pending ELA/Math assignment or a concept from class that they are having difficulty understanding. Teachers and students will be welcome to eat lunch in the designated classroom during lunch lab.
PROGRAM DETAILS:- Program will begin the week of November 10 and conclude the week of March 25, 2026. Date may be extended if there is a demand and if funds are available.
- Size and scope of the program will be determined based on need. Teachers would be required to commit to a minimum of 10 lunch periods per month. Lunch lab will not take place on single session days. Teachers will indicate their subject preference on the application.
Applicants must be certified teachers. Applicants must answer all application questions to be considered.
REMUNERATION:Remuneration will be the lunch duty rate in accordance with the current KEA contract. This program is funded through Title IV.
