We are seeking a senior-level Project Manager / Engineer to lead complex environmental, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects from planning through delivery. This role is ideal for a licensed professional with strong technical depth, proven project leadership, and experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, and client stakeholders. You will play a key role in managing high-impact projects while supporting client relationships, proposals, and team development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead environmental, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction and closeout
- Manage site investigations, assessments, remediation efforts, land development, and capital improvement projects
- Serve as Engineer of Record and/or Project Manager, coordinating across internal disciplines and external consultants
- Plan and manage project scope, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets
- Oversee preparation and review of engineering designs, technical reports, bid packages, and permit applications
- Coordinate approvals with regulatory agencies, municipalities, planning boards, and authorities
- Act as a primary client contact, providing technical guidance, status updates, and strategic support
- Support proposal development, fee estimates, and business development initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff across project phases
- Participate in public meetings, board hearings, and client presentations as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10–12+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, civil engineering, or municipal infrastructure
- Active NJ PE and/or Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP)
- Strong working knowledge of NJDEP regulations, permitting, and remediation practices
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-discipline projects and client relationships
- Hands‑on experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and technical review
- Ability to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed
- Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
- Experience serving as a Municipal Engineer or Board Engineer
- Construction oversight and field implementation experience
- Proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Hydro
CAD, Water
CAD, Sewer
GEMS, InfoSWMM, Rocscience, or similar - Experience with stormwater management, utilities, roadway design, or water/wastewater systems
