Process Engineer
The Process Engineer will be responsible for improvements relating to industrial/manufacturing processes and efficiency to reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. This role will be directly involved in the process design, operation, and implementation of such changes.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Assess current processes, take measurements, and interpret data
- Recommend and implement improvements
- Perform research, design, test, and upgrade systems for optimization
- Defect reduction and measurement
- Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
- Perform process simulations
- Manage cost and time constraints
- Perform risk assessments
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions
- Implement computer-based Workflow Diagrams
- Lean Manufacturing Implementation (8 Wastes, Material Flow, 1 Piece Flow, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)
- Implementing and Managing Operations Metrics and develop Pareto Reports
- ECO Management relief
- Packaging Design and Labels
- Operations Meeting Liaison
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality team regarding alignment for product requirements
- ISO/TL Auditing Support
- Work to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety Association (OHSA)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
- 2 – 5 year's experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills through experience, training and working well with others
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with OSHA Compliance and QM
Physical Demands:
- The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to operate basic tools, keyboards or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to walk and/or stand frequently
