How you make a difference

The Mental Health Professional, operating under the guidance of the MH Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, or MH Director, delivers essential clinical services to individuals in need. This role encompasses providing mental health consultation and training to facility staff, contributing to the overall well-being and support of the persons served. Through their clinical expertise and collaborative efforts, the Mental Health Professional plays a crucial role in enhancing mental health services within the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct clinical and consultation services adhering to policies, professional ethics, and standards of relevant organizations, including conducting mental health screenings and assessments.
  • Develop and complete treatment plans, respond to sick call requests and referrals, and offer individual and/or group counseling, along with crisis intervention services.
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation, provide training and consultation to staff, and actively participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Fulfill assigned duties with a commitment to professional standards and organizational objectives as a Mental Health Professional.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other related mental health discipline

Experience

  • One (1) or more years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with substance use disorders and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed or license-eligible in the State of practice – e.g. LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist - Must maintain all licensures, certifications, continuing educational requirements, etc.
