Dispatcher, Supply Chain​/Logistics

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the recovery and tender of freight at local airports.
• Break down freight when it returns to the office.
• Monitor drivers to ensure customer pickup and delivery expectations are met.
• Assist in the preparation of packaging materials and cold‑chain supplies when required by clients for pickup.
• Monitor and maintain the cold chain for all shipments arriving at the airports and freight held at the office awaiting instructions or clearance for delivery.
• Monitor clearance status and enter updated notes for Customer Service and origin offices.
• Ensure that freight is recovered in a timely manner and that all special delivery and pickup instructions are communicated to and followed by our drivers.
• Ensure that all company and regulatory policies and standard operating procedures are followed.
• Monitor, respond to, and act on personal and group email accounts in a timely manner.
• Monitor all “On‑Hold” shipments for export and/or delivery approval.
• Monitor and update the Outbound Flight Monitor.
• Maintain proficiency in cold‑chain management, including gel pack/packaging preparation, refurbishment, and configuration.
• Assist all leadership team members in daily functions and activities as required.
• Maintain all individual training records, certificates, and qualifications and complete required tests by their due dates.
• Ensure proper storage of shipments at airlines and the office.
• Report all complaints, concerns, and issues to management immediately.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
• Perform related or additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typically 2–3 years of experience in a related field.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency.
• Ability to safely lift packages up to 75 lbs.
• Professional demeanor.
• Flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime.
• Ability to multitask.

The work environment includes office and warehouse settings and occasional exposure to walk‑in refrigeration and freezer units. Thermal apparel is provided. Employees may need to work inside trucks temporarily when loading and offloading freight.

• Salary range: $43,300 – $79,310 (national average; actual range may vary by location).
