Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager
Greater NYC Metro Area – 2nd & 3rd Shift Oversight
We're hiring an FSQA leader to drive food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives across a multi-shift production environment. This is a high-impact role supporting both daily operations and strategic compliance—with direct ownership of audit readiness, product quality, and sanitation oversight.
What You’ll Do:Food Safety & Regulatory
Lead implementation and reassessment of the HACCP Plan and related documentation
Maintain accurate regulatory records and conduct GMP inspections
Ensure full compliance with USDA/FSIS regulations and internal programs (HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, Food Defense, CAPA)
Respond to non-compliance reports and manage corrective actions
Oversee 3rd-party sanitation partner and internal sanitation processes
Lead third-party (SQF, customer) audits and facility tours, including CAPA follow-ups
Manage quality programs across raw materials, finished goods, and process controls
Address customer complaints and provide formal CAPA responses
Support shelf-life programs, product trials, and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead FSQA team including supervisors, technicians, and sanitation personnel
Foster a proactive safety and compliance culture across shifts
Monitor departmental spending and align with budget goals
Travel up to 20%
USDA/FSIS regulatory experience is required
Bachelor’s degree (field of study flexible)
5+ years in a food manufacturing FSQA leadership role
Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, Food Defense, and related compliance programs
SQF or BRC experience preferred
Independent thinker with strong decision-making and team leadership skills
