Kelly Services is hiring Production Laborers for direct-hire opportunities with a union manufacturing operation in Kearny, NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on manufacturing work, working with metal components, and learning different production processes and equipment.

1st Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hr

As a Production Laborer, you'll support production activities in areas such as deburring, laser cutting, and plate plasma operations.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Grinding and deburring metal parts
• Punching cut parts from sheet metal
• Sorting, organizing, and stacking finished parts onto pallets
• Moving materials throughout the facility using pallet jacks and/or forklifts
• Operating a PEM inserter machine
• Assisting with general production and material-handling needs
• Inspecting parts for basic quality and production requirements
• Keeping work areas clean and free of scrap, debris, and unnecessary materials
• Following production instructions, part numbers, and job requirements
• Supporting safe and efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing area
• Following all required environmental, safety, quality, and workplace procedures

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
• Comfortable working as part of a production team
• Basic ability to identify part numbers, measurements, and production requirements
• Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes and equipment
• Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours
• Strong attention to safety and quality

Forklift or material-handling experience is a plus.

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift
• Safely move materials and metal components
• Perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift
• Work around manufacturing equipment, noise, heat, sparks, and metal dust
• Wear required PPE for the duration of the shift
• Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
