Location: Kearny, NJ
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $26–$28/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time

The Wiring Assembler performs electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and final integration of manufactured electrical products. This position requires the ability to work from blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications while producing accurate, high-quality wiring assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform wiring and assembly of electrical switchboards and related equipment.
• Interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring schematics.
• Translate drawings and schematics into accurate wiring layouts.
• Install, route, terminate, and connect electrical wiring.
• Perform crimping, soldering, heat shrinking, and related wiring processes.
• Perform electrical and mechanical product assembly.
• Inspect completed wiring and assemblies for accuracy and quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot wiring issues.
• Use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and insulation-resistance testers.
• Maintain accurate wiring and assembly documentation.
• Work with Engineering and Production personnel when questions or discrepancies arise.
• Follow applicable safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and efficient production practices.

The client JD specifically identifies switchboard wiring, blueprint interpretation, quality inspection and troubleshooting, documentation, crimping, soldering, heat shrinking, and electrical test equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous electrical assembly, panel wiring, switch gear, switchboard, industrial wiring, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring techniques and tools.
• Experience with crimping, terminating, soldering, and heat shrinking.
• Ability to troubleshoot wiring problems.
• Experience using multimeters or other electrical testing equipment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds when required.
