Facility: Belgrove Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Location: Kearny, New Jersey
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $105,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience)
Belgrove Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee our Subacute Unit
. This leadership position is ideal for an RN who is passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care, developing nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
As the Unit Manager, you will provide clinical leadership, coordinate resident care, mentor nursing staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily clinical and administrative operations of the Subacute Unit.
- Supervise, mentor, coach, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Ensure high-quality resident care through effective care planning, medication management, and treatment oversight.
- Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while preparing for and participating in surveys and inspections.
- Investigate resident incidents, accidents, complaints, and grievances, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy, MDS, infection prevention, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote positive resident outcomes.
- Coordinate admissions, readmissions, and discharge planning to support continuity of care and reduce hospital readmissions.
- Provide staff education, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Administer corrective action and employee counseling in accordance with facility policies.
- Foster a positive, professional, and resident-centered environment.
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
- At least 2 years of experience in subacute, rehabilitative, restorative, or post-acute nursing.
- Strong clinical assessment, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
- Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
