Direct Hire
Kearny, NJ
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Pay: $25.00-$26.00/hr
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM-12:00 AM
- Pay: $27.50-$28.60/hr
- Inspecting incoming components, raw materials, fabricated parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Performing First Article Inspections per drawings, inspection plans, specifications, and customer requirements
- Conducting in-process and final inspections, using precision tools such as calipers, gauges, and other equipment
- Collecting, documenting, and analyzing quality data; recording inspection results and communicating findings to appropriate teams
- Supporting root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions for quality concerns
- Identifying recurring defects and opportunities for long-term process improvement
- Reviewing manufacturing and quality documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Performing subassembly testing and following established sampling plans and inspection procedures
- Working closely with Quality Management and Manufacturing teams to resolve product and process concerns
- Supporting Quality Management System requirements and applicable environmental and workplace safety standards
- Participating in continuous improvement activities aimed at strengthening product quality and customer satisfaction
- Have previous hands-on quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Are experienced working within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment
- Can read and interpret drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection criteria
- Are skilled in using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and gauges
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document inspection findings
- Possess good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Are comfortable working closely with production and manufacturing teams
- Have basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Experience:
- ISO 9001, SAP, document-control systems, FMEA, root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, First Article Inspection, sampling plans, Quality Management Systems, manufacturing quality audits, and DFx or similar quality methodologies
