Shipco Transport Inc., a leading international cargo transportation company, has an immediate opening at our EWR branch located in Kearny, NJ, for an experienced Airfreight Export Agent
.

We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, dynamic, highly motivated, reliable, and who understands and appreciates the importance of a team effort. The candidate should also possess the ability to 'think outside the box', think and work outside their local market, and be aware of various time zones and regional norms for all parties involved.

• Performing Export transactions from start to finish, including quoting, arranging pick-ups, booking with Airlines, setting up Pre-Bookings and Consolidations; track, trace and invoice.
• Ensures that all Export compliance and TSA regulations are met on each shipment.
• Overseeing Import operations, including monitoring inbound shipments, coordinating customs clearance, tracking, and ensuring timely final delivery.
• Communicating with agents, carriers, and customers to maintain efficient and compliant Import & Export processes.

• Minimum 1-2 years of operations and customer service experience in airfreight cargo consolidations is required. Prefer experience from an airfreight consolidator or neutral wholesale background, but a candidate with NVOCC, VOCC, or freight forwarder experience may also apply.
• Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of daily airfreight operations, customer service, documentation, and government and carrier regulations.
• DG/Hazmat trained preferred.
• Must be able to work under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced, multi-tasking, customer service-minded environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication as well as organizational skills.
