Jockey Driver

Safely and efficiently maneuver trailers to and from dock doors under the direction of supervisors and the shipping office. Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while ensuring operational excellence. Take ownership of trailer readiness by maintaining cleanliness and ensuring proper fueling at all times to support seamless logistics operations.

• Monitor and regulate trailer and yard temperatures, ensuring optimal conditions at all times; refuel equipment as needed to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct thorough daily inspections of spotter trucks and related equipment to ensure safety and performance.
• Promptly report any defects, damages, accidents, or traffic violations involving vehicles or equipment.
• Accurately track and document trailer movements and fuel usage through detailed log keeping.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams to coordinate daily trailer movements and priorities.
• Verify trailer inventory and promptly report discrepancies or irregularities using proper documentation procedures.
• Perform assigned sanitation and cleanliness tasks on trailers to support operational excellence.

• At least 6 months of experience operating tractor trailers and/or heavy equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in the designated work language.
• Capable of lifting a minimum of 40 lbs. (18 kg), with potential for higher requirements based on facility needs.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and shifts as required.
