Our client in Keene, NH, is looking for a Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join their team!
Qualifications- Associate degree in accounting or finance and 1+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Non-profit experience preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- $34-36/hour depending on skills and experience
- Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with excellent benefits
- Possibility for hybrid schedule once trained
- Process payroll
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile accounts
- Assist with budgets and audit activities
- Make cash deposits
Prepare reports - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Other tasks as assigned
