A great opportunity to get into the field of construction on a large apartment project in Swanzey NH.

As a construction laborer, you will be the vital link between vision and execution. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands‑on experience that goes beyond textbooks and lectures. Your journey begins by assisting the Project Super, a mentor who will guide you through the intricacies of the construction business.

As a construction laborer on a multi‑family ground‑up project you will assist the Project Super at the construction site. You will be responsible for a number of on‑site tasks, such as removing debris, loading and unloading building materials, and assisting with other tasks as assigned by the Site Super.

Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Construction laborers help prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up barriers to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Material Handling: They may load and unload construction materials and equipment, transport materials to the work area, and distribute materials to the appropriate locations on the site.
  • Operating Equipment: As a laborer you will be trained to operate machinery and tools, such as forklifts, heaters and generators and transits as well as tools such as jackhammers, sawzall and cameras.
  • Safety: Ensuring safety on the construction site is a vital responsibility. Construction laborers follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to minimize the risk of accidents.
  • Cleanup: They clean and maintain the work area, disposing of waste materials and ensuring that the site remains orderly and safe.
  • Communication: Good communication skills are essential for coordinating with other team members and supervisors, as well as following instructions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Prefer candidates who have at least a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED)
  • Physical Fitness: Construction laborers must be physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, digging, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Safety Awareness: A commitment to safety is crucial in construction. Candidates should be aware of and follow safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Construction

    Experience:

    While not required, prior experience in construction or a related field can be a significant advantage. It demonstrates that you are familiar with construction processes and have relevant skills.
